Aprox: 50 cookies
 

  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 large egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Colored sprinkles or chopped

 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light in color, 3-5 minutes. Add the egg, vanilla and lemon juice until combined.
  3. At low speed add the dry ingredients and mix until just blended.
  4. Roll in 1 inch balls or place into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip, pipe onto prepared parchment lined cookie sheets, spacing two inches apart.
  5. Top with colored sprinkles or chopped walnuts.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes (until the bottoms and edges begin to turn golden brown.) Do not overbake.
  7. Slide the whole piece of parchment onto a large wire rack and cool completely.

 

Store in an airtight container
