Aprox: 50 cookies
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 large egg
- Pinch of salt
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Colored sprinkles or chopped
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugar until light in color, 3-5 minutes. Add the egg, vanilla and lemon juice until combined.
- At low speed add the dry ingredients and mix until just blended.
- Roll in 1 inch balls or place into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip, pipe onto prepared parchment lined cookie sheets, spacing two inches apart.
- Top with colored sprinkles or chopped walnuts.
- Bake for 10 minutes (until the bottoms and edges begin to turn golden brown.) Do not overbake.
- Slide the whole piece of parchment onto a large wire rack and cool completely.
Store in an airtight container
